Hi Larry,
Well the night certainly lived up to its' promise. There were so many people I wanted to talk with that I never had the chance to, particularly because my voice quit on me about 10pm. Lynn says that's a result of my rarely stringing more than two sentences together in conversation. One of the best stories I heard that night was when Dave Tampsett first arrived in the states from Australia with a burning desire to have an American hamburger. His first encounter with Alan Stearns netted him a cheeseburger, and the tale was the narrative equivalent of a Norman Rockwell painting (which is worth more than 1K words). Seeing people that I actually went to school with from the first grade was a real kick, and actually got to reminisce in length with Leslie Fryncko (although I'm sure she'd question if 15 minutes qualifies as having length). Marion Connolly-Barrie, I only saw you for a moment, but do you remember the back corner of Miss Johnson's class, with Carol Clouart, Dave Tuttle, Janet Cimino and ...? Besides Mr. Hornbaker and Mr. Gayer, there was Ms. Bartlett, the blonde with the tight hairbun who always seemed on the emotional edge of a postal exam. Lynn's great delights were catching up with Cheryl Saunders after 30 years, and dancing with Doreen Lascola. Dancing with Doreen reminded her of when they used to go clubbing together (I don't think this reference has anything to do with baby seals). Seeing Joe Forte again was a special treat for her too. Thanks to everyone on the reunion committee for a memorable evening!

Re: Reunion Memories

Hi to all of the committee members. The reunion was the best one I've ever been to, and I've been to all of them. The food was delicious (although I didn't eat any of the hors d'oeuvers or the after hours party food because I was too busy talking) and the decorations were beautiful. You guys put so much effort into it. The trivia questions were great as were the 70's prizes that went with them. The memorabilia table brought things right back. It truly was like going back in time. However, the best part was simply reconnecting with old friends. I made it a point to talk to everyone I could, even if it was just to say hi and give them a hug. I did get to actually have a conversation with a lot of people. I looked at the picture of the class today and counted 12 people that I didn't at least say hi to. Sorry to have missed those 12. It was especially a blast to get to see people who hadn't been to a reunion in a few years. Ken Hammond, I had a ball E-mailing you through the website even before the reunion. You haven't changed, except for losing a lot of weight. You look great! And of course, there's Larry, who had never been to a reunion. Charleen and I also had fun E-mailing him and we got together for dinner on Friday night before the reunion. I feel so blessed to have been part of such a great group of people. As the reunion approached, and I shared my memories and the current goings on with the website with my family and friends, they all were surprised to see that we were a tight class that really cared about each other. So many people I spoke with said they had never been to their reunion or they wouldn't go if the two or three people they hung out with wouldn't be there. How sad for them. I heard some disturbing news about some classmates who couln't come, and even though we haven't been in touch, I still felt badly for them and immediately wanted to let them know I was thinking about them. Chuck and Lynn Selima, it was good seeing you and I'm so glad you two got together! Chuck, I too, am sorry I didn't get to talk to you longer. I did play catch-up more with Lynn, though. I'm so glad you brought up Miss Johnson's class! Larry, Charlene and I had just been talking about that the night before, but we could only remember Mr. Hornbaker's name. Of course I said that was because all the girls had a crush on him. Thanks for filling in the gaps for us. Yes, I DO remember! So many good times, and there can be lots more if we make the effort to get together in smaller groups in-between the 5 year reunions. It was great seeing everyone and I hope to keep in touch with a lot of you.

YES, I wholeheartedly agree w/Marion. Its amazing to me for such a large and diverse class we ARE tight and DO truly care about each other. As time goes on I think that will become even more evident! I also have encouraged everyone I talk with to design a site such as this. It has played an important role in making our re-union so wonderful!! WE ARE TRULY BLESSED. WHO SAID YOU COULDN'T GO HOME!

Marion I couldn't of said it better. I was glad to see Ken as I haven't seen him in years and it was a pleasure talking with him. I haven't missed a reunion either and I agree this was the best by far. Keep in touch and hope to see you at the smaller functions.

Subject: Re: Reunion Memories - The Communicator

Larry has designed Southstation,
there we have communication.
He's updating, it's RE-formation,
to him we owe acclamation.

This is the place we can connect,
this is where you can reflect.
For us, we never find neglect,
although some things may sound abject.

There's stories you can narrate,
also feelings to relate.
Lots of trouble to create,
read what's there - don't hesitate.

The web site sure does have appeal,
it's fun to visit and so real.
It's here some things we can reveal,
a few more too you can conceal.

Larry is much more adept,
than some of us who are inept.
Our bad email he does accept.
His records there are neatly kept.

This AV man is capable,
as a friend he's amiable.
Mistakes? He's sure not culpable,
cuz He's The Man - he's colossal!

But he's not proud, nay, he's humble.
If there's a mess it's our bumble,
with the threads we sure do fumble,
But he's The Man, he doesn't crumble.

Larry you are so refined,
a gentleman, always so kind.
You only have one thing in mind,
cleaning the mess we leave behind.

You're a great communicator,
you make us free, emancipator.
To get your girl, no operator,
said you'd use the elevator.

You're always patient and sincere.
For our comments we never fear,
that you won't treat them with revere.
We're thankful that you persevere.

Although we know you hesitate,
we feel our emails fascinate.
You treat us with compassionATE,
you are the master consummate.

You're Loveringly debonair.
With us you take good care.
There's none that ever can compare,
with PC Man extraordinaire.
